Community Corrections Director - Community Corrections - The job duties of the Community Corrections Director include but are not limited to direct and supervise the Intensive Supervision Program in Dickinson, Geary, Marion, and Morris counties;to oversee the Core Juvenile Programming as well as prevention programs funded with State Prevention dollars; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.  The Director reports to the Executive Director of Community Corrections (EDCC), as the first line of supervision.  


Medical Front Office Assistant - Health Department - The job duties include but are not limited to providing prompt and professional customer service when clients arrive at the front desk; to determine the purpose of their visit; to assist them with any forms or non-medical questions; performing clerical, clinical including finger sticks, and outreach duties, as well as providing responsive,courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.


CVB Director - Convention and Visitors Bureau - The job duties of the CVB Director include but are not limited to; overseeing all administrative, operating,sales/marketing, publicity, promotions and advertising functions of the Geary County Convention and Visitor Bureau. Work involves positioning the community as a premier, year-round visitor destination and positively impacting the area economy through external marketing efforts aimed at target markets; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County employees,residents and the general public. 


Juvenile Intake &  Assessment Specialist - Community Corrections - The job duties of the Juvenile Intake & Assessment Worker include but are not limited to screen and conduct intake for juveniles; to be responsible for coordinating placement into foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public. 


Juvenile Intake & Assessment - DK - DayCommunity Corrections - The job duties of the Juvenile Intake & Assessment Worker include but are not limited to screen and conduct intake for juveniles; to be responsible for coordinating placement into foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.   Work Schedule: On-call Monday – Friday 8:00am– 5:00pm every other week.  This position is in Dickinson County.


Juvenile Intake & Assessment - Marion - Night - Community Corrections - The job duties of the Juvenile Intake & Assessment Worker include but are not limited to screen and conduct intake for juveniles; to be responsible for coordinating placement into foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.   This position is in Marion County.


Assistant Nursing Director - Health - The job duties of the Assistant Nursing Director include but are not limited to supervise the nursing and program counseling staff; to prepare grants for the Health Department; to assist in developing policies and procedures that support individual and community health efforts; to conduct QI program and supervise all training; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public. 


Registered Nurse - Health - The primary job duties of a Women, Infant, and Children(WIC) Registered Nurse is to certify clients and provide individualized nutrition counseling. This includes, but not limited to, providing eligibility information, data input, client education, program evaluation, and community outreach.  Additionally, all county employees are expected to provide responsive, courteous, and efficient service to county residents and the general public.

WIC Coordinator - Health - The job duties of the WIC Coordinator include but are not limited to inform, educate and empower people about health issues; to mobilize community partnerships to identify and solve health problems; to develop policies and plans that support individual and community health efforts; to enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety;to link people to needed personal health services and assure the provision of health care when otherwise unavailable; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.


Heavy Equipment Operator/Trainee - Public Works - The job duties of the skilled Heavy Equipment Operator include but are not limited to provide highway and bridge maintenance and construction, construction and maintenance materials handling, and highway facilities maintenance; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public. 

NOTE:  Employees that do not meet the minimum qualifications for a Heavy Equipment Operator may be hired as a Heavy Equipment Operator Trainee.  Employee will have one(1) year to complete the training, as determined by the Public Works Director and complete all of the minimum requirements outlined below.


Building Maintenance - IST - Sheriff Dept. - The job duties of the Building Maintenance include but are not limited to perform general building custodial duties, grounds upkeep, move furniture, painting,cleaning and assist with maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Buildings Maintenance Supervisor; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public. This is a part-time non-benefit eligible position at the Sheriff’s Department. This is an Intermittent/Seasonal/Temporary position.


Posse - Sheriff - Support the Sheriff's Department by volunteering your time by performing an array of duties.  Posse members ride on patrol assisting patrol Deputies with various duties to include; traffic control, search and seizure, search and rescue, lake patrol operations, warrant details, response to critical incidents, community service events, amongst many other aspects of the department.  Posse members support patrol, detention and clerical operations through proper training as well as being able to bring knowledge and experience from their own jobs to better assist the department and the community.


Correction Officer - Sheriff Dept. - The job duties include but are not limited to take care of the needs of the inmates in the Geary County Detention Center; to provide the proper treatment, cleanliness, and basic care of the inmates and the facility; to ensure that the inmates are granted their constitutional rights; to enforce all federal, state, and local law resolutions; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.  Please apply on the ADP application link listed below.
