Assistant Deputy County Attorney - Attorney -  The job duties  include but are not limited to represent the State of Kansas in the prosecution of felony and misdemeanor crimes, Child in Need of Care cases, and Juvenile Offender cases; to prepare appellate briefs and orally argue them before the Kansas appellate courts; to assist law enforcement and give advice when needed or requested; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.

Legal Secretary - Attorney - The job duties include but are not limited to provide highly responsible clerical and assistant duties of a complex and varied nature; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public


Transportation Officer - Community Corrections - The job duties  include but are not limited to provide secure transportation of offenders assigned to the 8th Judicial District Community Corrections programs to appropriate treatment and placements including inpatient treatment, foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.

Building Maintenance Assistant - Public Works - The job duties include but are not limited to perform general building custodial duties, grounds upkeep, move furniture, and assist with maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Buildings Maintenance Supervisor; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.


Administrative Assistant II - Emergency Management - The job duties  include but are not limited to provide clerical support for the Emergency Management and Rural Fire Department; to prepare state and federal statistical reports, record keeping and reception work; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.


Planner - Planning and Zoning - The job duties  include but are not limited to review developmental proposals, preparing reports,collecting data, providing information to the public, and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.


Health Dept. Deputy Director - Health Department - An expertise in prevention strategies with the ability to apply educational and behavioral theories and principles to program development is necessary.  The person must have leadership abilities to facilitate participation of school leaders and community members in developing health education programs.  A basic competency in the use and work processing is required with an ability to produce brochures and other health communication materials.  Must facilitate voluntary adaptions of behavior conducive to health.  Conducts administrative duties assisting the Health Department Administrator, develop, implement, and evaluate health education programs.  Administer all payroll related tasks and to coordinate purchasing, travel, and accounts payable; to provide administrative assistance and backup to the Accountant and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.


Life Skills Instructor - Community Corrections - The job duties include but are not limited to develop,coordinate and present a life skills curriculum for Adult Offenders supervised by the 8th Judicial District Community Corrections; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.


Juvenile Intake and Assessment Specialist - Community Corrections - The job duties include but  not limited to screen and conduct intake for juveniles; to be responsible for coordinating placement into foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.


Lieutenant - Corrections -  Sheriff - The job duties of the Lieutenant – Corrections include but  not limited to assist with the overall supervision of the County Jail; to ensure that the living conditions of the inmates are maintained in a humane manner; to ensure that the inmates are granted their constitutional rights; to coordinate and oversee the training of all the correction officers and evaluate their work; to enforce all federal, state, and local law resolutions; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.


Corrections - Sergeant - Sheriff - The job duties of the Corrections-Sergeant include but  not limited to assist with the overall supervision oft he County Jail; to ensure that the living conditions of the inmates are maintained in a humane manner; to ensure that the inmates are granted their constitutional rights; to coordinate and oversee the training of all the correction officers and evaluate their work; ; to enforce all federal, state,and local law resolutions; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public. 


Juvenile Intake & Assessment - Nights - GE -  Community Corrections - The job duties of the Juvenile Intake & Assessment Worker include but  not limited to screen and conduct intake for juveniles; to be responsible for coordinating placement into foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.   Work Schedule: 1 night weekly plus a Friday - Sunday shift every 4 weeks.  This position is in Geary County.


Juvenile Intake & Assessment - Nights - MarionThe job duties of the Juvenile Intake & Assessment Worker include but  not limited to screen and conduct intake for juveniles; to be responsible for coordinating placement into foster care, emergency shelters, detention or attendant care; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to all county residents and the general public.   Work schedule:  Monday thru Thursday, 5:00 pm – 8:00 am/Friday thru Monday, 8:00 pm – 8:00 am.  This position is in Marion County.

Correction Officer - Sheriff Dept. - The job duties include but  not limited to take care of the needs of the inmates in the Geary County Detention Center; to provide the proper treatment, cleanliness, and basic care of the inmates and the facility; to ensure that the inmates are granted their constitutional rights; to enforce all federal, state, and local law resolutions; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.  Please apply on the ADP application link listed below.
